Hello! Matt here, founder of News From The Couch. I want to thank you for giving us a chance and seeing what we have to offer. We truly appreciate you coming to check us out. So what can you expect from us? To be honest, it’s hard to give a concrete answer to that question. We’re hoping to provide content on a lot of different topics. One day that could be a fantasy football preview. The next it could be a guide to Christmas movies (check it out, that one’s real). And another day that might be an original short story. Basically we’ll write about anything we’re passionate about and interested in that we think you will enjoy as well.
So where did the name “News From The Couch” come from, you’re wondering? Oh, you’re not wondering about that? Oh well, I’ll tell you anyway. It’s pretty simple actually. First, if I’m at home, I’m usually on the couch. So it makes sense from that standpoint. Every topic we write about here is something you can take in from the comfort of your couch. We can also do all of our work — writing, editing, all that jazz — from the couch as well. Lastly, and arguable most importantly, naming things has never been a creative strong point for me. So when I come up with something that I like well enough, I run with it. And there you have it.
The last piece is to ask for a little bit of patience on your part. We have four bloggers, all with full-time jobs. We will post as often as we can, but can’t promise it will happen every day. We’re just here to have a little fun and enjoy ourselves. We hope you can do the same.
